It could well be a hardy blank built outside the factory! cant see that well from the pictures but the whippings look a bit large.
Im just guessing from the pics and info given.

yeah i was wondering if you could tell what blanks did that person used,im just scared that if i bought one,the person could have used some **** brand and bought the hardy bag and tube for cheap...

but if they are really hardy blanks, then they are good for that price

There are some real good deals at the minute on Grey's Platinum xd pros
Very very good rods that throw a line miles.
Just a thought, and if the hardy blank hasn't been made to a good standard it is only worth about £40-50

Are we under any illusion that a Hardy (branded or unbranded) will
  • cast further than say a Sonik SK3
  • Cast more accurately than say a Shakey
  • Be better finished than say a Flextec
  • or have better components than a SKB rod?

I don't get this label thing at all, having never found much correlation between the price or label on a rod and it's performance or fitness for purpose.

Totally agree except for the resale price in future if that time arose.
My nephew wanted a fly set up for Christmas and his misses came to me for advice.
He was the proud owner of a flextec this morning, and after seeing it there could be a couple coming to me for boat fishing, as I seem to get a few broken in the boat Clumsy fool.
