Hi Chaps,
Just to be clear on this point, I don't carry any carbon sections in stock. ALL repair section are custom rolled from scratch. When I get a rod in for repair I take precise internal and external measurements of the taper of the broken section and then match it up to a suitably tapered steel mandrel. The pattern is then cut from the carbon fibre sheet to match the original, it is then rolled and stoved on the mandrel to cure the resin. The cost for this work is approximtely £55.00 for a 9-10ft 4pce fly rod tip section before any other finishing work is required.
