Default what flies for start of season???

this season I am going to e mostly fishing the same two rivers as last season with a few day trips thrown in aswell. I plan on tying my own flies but want to star off with a handful of patterns. I'm going to go with waterhen bloa, partridge and orange and another spider pattern. I'm also going with ptn and hares ear nymphs. can anyone suggest which other spider patterns are worth tying up or any swaps that you would make.

regards

gerry
