Evening all...

well how to begin this thread without sounding like one of them show off big headed types...

I caught my biggest ever fish today at Alderneuk in Dumfries...
this magnificent Tiger trout weighed in at a monster 11lb 08oz... smashing my PB by over 4lb!!!



me and Wullie the owner were discussing the fish after he was released... over a nerve soothing cuppa... and neither of us could recall hearing of a bigger tiger trout being caught in Scotland... we are both more than willing to be proved wrong but what a thrill that would give me personally...

your thoughts and theories are more than welcome folks...

well if you stock a tiger at 11lb 8oz in your water it eventually gonna get caught not many other waters about probably ask for a tiger of this size or is a a grown on fish

Still a whopping fish Steve-Congratulations-never had a tiger trout or even fished a water that has them. What the devil you doing up in Scotland anyway?

The scenery in the Grand Coulee area of eastern Washington was worth the air fare on its own!

Troutnabout... yes its a stocked fish and sure the vast majority will get caught at some stage... but its still a whopper of a fish and its also the new Alderneuk record catch!!!

Byron... Alderneuk is an hour away from Carlisle and is the place i consider my local... the fishing as you can see is class... the banter superb and the hospitality from Wullie and Wilma is second to none...
