Powell LG 4 piece Fly Rod

I bought this Powell fly rod lg 4 piece 9-10 weight at a sale.I It is brand new and never been used..It came in a black tube with a gold cap with a Powell sticker on the tube..Does anyone have an idea of value on this rod? Thanks!

Think they come about the $220 - 250 mark .

Sounds like one of the older models.Does it have an address on the sticker?if it has the Chico flyshop address it was made when members of the Powell family still ran the company.These rods usually came in metal tubes with brass caps.There was a hostile takeover of the company in the 90s but the rods continued to be made in the USA.All newer Powells(2005on)are made in the far East.You may be able to find out more on flyforums us website.
