Default Fishery Planner -TF

Picked up a copy of TF and spent quite a lot of time searching for some articles amongst the adverts.
However, it gave away a wall planner and on the reverse side "Your 2012 Fishery Finder"
I had a look at the NW.
Pendle View was there, but no Stocks just a few miles away.
Bigland, but no High Newton, Ghyll Head or Watendlath.
and so on.

I've always enjoyed fishing mags and reckon for the price of a pint, I get sufficient amusement. But my patience is beginning to wear a little thin.

Bill

Fisheries that paid to advertise for the wall planner were placed on the map itself.

I understand that. It was the sheer amount of advertising overt and covert that niggled me. I sat down in Costa Coffee, a moment of tranquility in the madness of christmas shopping, sighed luxuriously, sipped my expresso, opened the mag and had a Victor Meldrew moment. My wife tells me that I am having them all too often lately. Good.

Might be the espresso Bill ?????

Consistently enjoyable angling periodicals a few and far between nowerdays ....... I decided to spend the money on books this year. The copy to classified ratio in most is quite frankly insulting to one's intelligence.

Emap publications are the worst by far.

No Barnsfold either, but apparently the Cats Whisker Lure works in February.

You guys are being too hard on TF. It amused me for two or three minutes just trying to identify just how many fisheries were missing from my local area.

And that's the reason I stopped buying sea-angling magazines. I realise they have to have advertisers but they're like reading a fishing catalogue sometimes

Never buy a mag nowadays. All the info you need along with great articles can normally be found here!
Mags = ads
