Default replacement sage xp reel seating

Hi i have got a custom sage xp 9'6 for #7 i would really like to replace the reel seating, at the minute the fighting butt screws up to hold reel, but it always sticks and cant get my reel off it, i would like a reel seat like the factory made rod, does anyone know where i can get this done and any ideas how much it would cost, many thanks

Gary

Hi Gary,
contact Steve Parkes of Atom six, he will fit the original Struble reel seat, does a great job too!
David Norwich is another who will do likewise. Can highly recommend them both.

cheers Diarmid.

Yep he is a member.
Donated one of his custom build rods to a charity on here, also posts on bonefishing threads, try a search for him that way.
Give me an hour or so and I wil dig out bag to make sure it fits.

Gaz, take your rod in to The Village Tackle Shop in Belfast and ask for George Friel, their rod-maker - he'll sort it out for you

Telephone: 028 9049 1916

Goes under name of David Norwich,(trade member)
found bag quicker than i thought!
is for a 5 pce 9' 6" rod, chocolate brown colour, mebbes an slt bag, you could fit 4 pce in, but you would not be able to fold top over sections, total length is 28.5 inches, which is exactly the length of each of your sections, so dont think is much use for your rod.
