Without hesitation, Pete Tyjas at The Devon School of Fly fishing. Based at The Fox & Hounds Hotel, Eggesford, North Devon.

Wonderful scenery, fishing, accommodation and an excellent guide.

Highly recommended - I have no connection with the establishment only an extremely satisfied past customer.

Difficult one this. I'd probably choose the Wye & Usk system in Wales. It only gets the vote over Devon because there is a wider variety of water, from big rivers like the Wye to smaller rivers like the Lugg and down to cracking little streams like the Edw. Plenty of good guides, Frank Williams is excellent.

Regards
Peter

If you like Bass fishing you could come to Cornwall and stay with Austen Goldsmith.
Or nip across to Ireland on the big lough's.

Another vote for the Wye & Usk Foundation's waters in Mid Wales. As Peter's already mentioned, there is an incredible range on offer. If you do choose this venue, make sure to visit the little Clettwr (my favourite beat to date)! And importantly, access to the fishing won't cost an arm and a leg.

+Tel,
I would go spend a day or three with mr Troutheaven ,aka Stan Headley ,drifting boats on some stunning Loch ,Wild browns ,seatrout and maybe a salmon all on Standard boat fishing gear .

frank down on the Usk would be fun as well, not to mention Gwillym Hughes on the welsh Dee
Or I could think of worse times than with a top Currane ghillie such as Bob Preistly !

Two days with Pete At the Fox and Hounds followed by a couple of days with OZ after the Bass.
Sounds like a perfect few days
