I have won an eight hour sporting ticket in the monthly draw.

I'm chuffed to say the least.

Do any other fisheries have any "incentives" to fill in your Catch Record Card ?

You are so naive - do you not realise it was your new G-Tec rod that swung it? Hotels make sure there are few nice cars around the front; fisheries make sure there are a few posh rods on the site - to set the tone. The draw was rigged.

Some ask for £1 deposit and give it you back when you record your catch but Mere Beck is the only one that I know that offers an incentive.

The only incentive to go back that Ive experienced has been at Roughlee nr Burnley, everytime I go (which isnt alot in fairness) the owner tells me to stay as long as I want even though Ive purchased a 4hr ticket! Compare that to another water in the area that wouldnt let me add another couple of hours after my four hour ticket was up, the place was very quiet and Im a regular, I was quite dissapointed. Surely for a few quid you'd let a good customer who asked as a one-off fish for abit longer?

I filled in a blank card yesterday (forgot to fill one in last week) as when I was leaving and having a chat to the guy in the lodge he told me to fill it in for the draw as I might still win.
