Default At Last Yipee!!!

I started trying to catch a trout on the fly in June. I had a casting lesson after a disastrous first attempt and went on to try on my local river wyre. Try as I might all I managed were chub.
I have been to Bank House 3 times and failed and on my second visit to Fylde Trout Fishery today I did it!! I caught 2 rainbows and lost 2.
I was the only 1 on the water good job really 54 yr old 6ft 4 ins 15 1/2 stone idiot dancing a jig is not pretty
1 on a yellow dancer 1 on a cats whisker, can't wait for the river season now, has anyone fished the small streams on the lancashire trust thingy scheme, thats the sort of fishing that really appeals but for this winter lures on stillwaters will have to do.

Well done, mate. Sometimes a beginner lands a fish first cast, sometimes it takes a while, but once you've started, you're away.
From Fleetwood, you could give Mere Beck a go and just across the M6 from Fylde is Barnsfold - a good fishery.
Don't let blanking at Bank House put you off it. It's a well run fishery with some good fish in it.

Don't worry Chris, in challenging conditions it is hard going even for experienced casters.

As the Pirate said, not easy conditions. Fylde can be quite exposed, making casting difficult.

Well done..........

You could have tagged along on a Lancsy Lads outing in the new year but not if your going to carry on with that catching malarkey.
