Default Anyone fished "The Vu" in Scotland

My sister got married here: Wedding Venues Scotland The Vu last month, the wedding ceremony takes place in, for want of a better word, a church/chapel in the middle of the loch, called the water lily access via a walk way.During the ceremony, I couldn't help noticing a bit of movement on the loch.
Just wondered if anyone's fish here?
Cheers
Paul

So on the biggest day of her life your closest blood relative declares her undying eternal love and devotion to her groom, surrounded and enfolded by the love and kinship of her family...

And you're looking out of the window wondering what the fishing's like...

Skunk, I raise my glass to your style and sense of perspective...

That was probably you rushing from one window to the other to try and work out whether they were after emergers or terrestrials.

Is Ballencrief reservoir at Bathgate.
Fished it a couple of times before the "vu" was built.
Typical Rainbow trout fishery.
Fish are only as good as the day they went in!
Was a drained ressie till early nineties, when previous owners bought out land and ressie, prior to building the house at back and then was sold on as fishetry and restaurant!
Interesting site for the wedding though, as name implies, is some view of lowland central scotland!
regards
bert

Ah,Like many fisheries, they are only there to get a house built or a restauraunt planning permission.but this is a cracker,a wedding venue. But if you look at the photos of the VU you'll see that there are still pegs round the loch.and in one photo you'll see the rings of a rise.

Not really a bad thing though, Jim.
Given the number of new fisheries that have sprung up in last decade or more with a house for owner built on the banks.
Is some real good ones out there!

I was unfortunate enough to fish Ballencreif when the Vu was getting built
they seemed more intrested in the hotel side and it seemed the fishing was secondary. We were not overly impressed with the attitude and felt we were a pain in the ass.
