Default Fishing South Wales

I have a friend who as never seen a fly rod until recently & now his casting is ok it's time to find a water. I'm currently staying near Hay-on-wye in south wales and ideally looking for a catch & release water which wont be too difficult for him.
Don't mind travelling a little (hereford to methyr & newport to builth wells). Any help appreciated

I recommend that you have a look at the Wye and Usk foundation (WUF)website. They have some cracking waters in that area.................birdsnest

Try big well. If you don't catch there you won't catch anywhere

This time of the year? River Wye = Glasbury or Builth Well's. WUF. or ask locally in Hay-on-Wye.

Canada Lake

Canada lakes is a great option - I fished here when i first started fishing and had some great days. Went back the start of this season and had a brilliant day too - Well worth a look if your in that area.

Hi Tatts burhan is right, Big Well is a very good place to start, Canada lakes is another but not so easy to catch fish.
Cefn Mably is all course now.
