I am starting to think about booking next years speakers.

So at a winter club night who have been the:

• best guest speaker and subject?
• best fly tying demo?
• other fishing related subject?

Do any of the forum members give evening talks?

I was at a talk delivered by Stuart Crofts on Caddis flies and I found the content and delivery superb!

In fact, I would go as far to say that if Mr. Crofts was due to appear at any clubs within a reasonable distance of The West Midlands, I would be there like a shot.

I attended a FDG night in Edinburgh where the guest speaker was Steve Parton. Good all round entertainment

Pau Procter - Quite an entertaining guy and knows what hes sayin Davie Mcphail -- Good general fly tying demo

Dave Downie, Good Demo's and his materials are excellent.
One problem, last time he stayrd he quaffed all me wine. (only joking Dave)

I may be slightly biased but like to think i'm reasonably objective. The tag team of John Tyzack and John Pearson take some beating. Arguably the best river fisherman in the country (without me in the equation ) and a qualified field biologist whose tying ability is second to none. There's not a lot they don't know and they can tie............. I'd turn up!
