Thumbs down Rain is falling

Bloody hell,It's really heavy. My local river is up 6' in the last 4hrs, funnily the rivers on the other side of the Campsie hills have not risen very much.I will check the levels again in the morning but I'll bet the Kelvin valley floodplain will be innundated.so much for the so called ''100 year floods''. I have seen it flooded 6 times now,and i'm sure as hell not 600 yrs old.Really glad I have retired.

Can we have some in the South of England, please ? All the chalk streams are low, some painfully so, and if we don't have some serious rain either side of Christmas there will be big problems next Summer....

The missus got sent home from work, they pumping water out of the car park. The rivers are like chocolate here, the clyde estuary is a lovely shade of red.

Heading over the Campsie hills today, through Fintry towards Balfron, the River Endrick looked more like the mighty Tay, and i don't say that lightly.

Had to bail the floor of my van out 3 times already, numerous cars stuck in deep puddles on waterlogged roads.

Oh joy

Best regards
Jim
