Default Wader sizes

I am about to buy a pair of waders but the various sizes are a bit of a puzzle I dont think that I am that unusual in having an inside leg of 30" and chest of 43-44" but the leg sizes available seem to indicate 33 to 34" is this likely to be a problem or is it normal for them to be long in the leg. I also assume that one size to big in boots will be OK for 4mm neoprene stocking feet. Help appreaciated.

Patagonia have "short" size waders with a 30" inseam, and a "medium" size with a 32" inseam.

And yes, one shoe size up is generally the way to go with wading boots. I would recommend trying before buying, if you can.

Something to bear in mind which didn't occur to me - the inseam measurement is usually from crotch to the bottom of the heel, it isn't the same as the inside leg length of a pair of trousers. I have short legs, look for a 29 inch leg in trousers. I've just bought a pair of Snowbee size 8 Granite boot foot chest waders, which have a 34 inch inseam, and they're fine. They could be a little shorter in the leg to be perfect, but they're fine. Also, I take a size 8 shoe, and the size 8 wader has plenty of room for wooly hiking socks.

I would definitely go and try them on somewhere, though. Just don't make my mistake and take your wallet with you, I only meant to try them on and ended up buying them!
