Default Hurry up Santa!

I've been told I can spend some money on fishing tackle, I'm going to buy a new Snowbee Diamond 7wt to replace the Wychwood HLS rod I've just sold. The reels I'm currently using on my 2 Trout rods are Leeda Profils (and very nice reels they are too) but I'm looking to change them for a pair of BFR Modula 75 Titaniums does any one have any negative opinions of these reels before I shell out my Christmas moolah. I'm not really looking at alternatives at the moment I just want to know if anyone has any doubts about the Modulas ie. build quality, longevity etc.

....Ok. I've done a bit more research and it seems the spools are prone to slipping, perhaps I'll have to look at a different cassette reel.

Not sure about the reels bud, but the Diamond will a cracking rod. I got meself a 10' 4# a while back and it suits me just fine. Top quality stuff and seriously under-rated. Happy Christmas!

Why not take a look at one of SKB's cassette reels in the classifieds,if you don't fancy them the Sonik sk3 7/8 cassette is a superb reel that gets good reviews

I already have the 5-6wt 10' and it's a cracker (I'm still fairly new to this mullarkey but have already gone through a few rods and this is by far the best)

Thanks Neil but I finally went for a pair of BFR Modula reels. There was an issue with spool slippage but there are a few fixes on the tinternet should these be affected. I like the design, they're lightweight and (I hope I'm right in saying this) still machined from barstock even though they are now manufactured abroad.

Yep, they look like a good buy, was just a bit worried about the spool slippage problems I'd read about
