Hello Anglers friends from UK
Yesterday I completed a quick video for my PJS. This time is "Pulpito Jig Series # 10: Tying an Assist Hook".
In this video, given that I use the assist hook setting very often, I though to explain a practical and easy way to tie an assist hook for your spoons and jigs. At least, this way works very well with me.
In the last four years or more, I have used this way of hooking in my spoonflies and jigs. I believe it is more effective than using a treble hook for this kind of lures.
Beyond that, I have removed every treble hook from the Krocodile, Hopkins, Acme, etc. spoons that I bought, changing them by assist hooks.
Please, notice that this time like others, I used a double line for more security and resistance. In this case, I used a 50 lb Tuf-Line Premium Braided Dracon, by two, it will resist 100lb.
As always, your comments are welcome. Thank you for watching this video, I hope you will enjoyed.
Here is a picture of my settings (if you want to see how to do these spoons, look to Pulpito Jig Series #9: The Great "Attila")
