Default Any Tips For Manningford Trout Lake

Going to be my first go at fly fishing any lake, has anyone fished Manningford previously and got any tips on leader lengths and flies which might be succesful at this time of year.

Never fished it just had a look at their site
Floater 15ft leader weighted damsel single fly or add smaller nymph on a dropper.
3ft midge tip 15-18ft leader apps type bloodworm on point and skinny buzzers on dropper/droppers.
Slow inter single fly 15ft leader blacktadpole,cats whisker or lure type.
The list is endless depending on conditions and your casting/confidence.
If your righthanded a nice right to left ripple and other than the inter get em swinging around on that ripple
It hard to advise without seeing you fish.

Cheers Craig, I know it's difficult if your not familiar with the place, appreciate the advice though it has given me some ideas to go on

Just to update, I managed to take a couple of nice rainbows, and would probs of had a 1 or 2 more if it wasn't for my rubbish casting, thanks for the tips Craig
