Default Loch Glow closed down, rumours or truth?

I heard this afternoon that Loch Glow has been taken back over by the water board who will be carrying out dam repairs and that the Civil Service has lost the fishing rights to it, has anyone heard about this?

It's still pretty full of troots (Rainbow, Brook, Blues etc.) which will now be permit free for the foreseeable.

hope the glow disnae shut down as its the best value fishery about , and it`s a good wading venue with decent sport to small flies

I hope not... one of my favourite places to fish, and great for traditional flies.

Just to bring this (thread) back to life; a friends Laddie was up on Sunday to find the gates locked and not a soul to be seen; anyone have an official story?

I emailed the club regarding the boats and was told they won't be going back on the water until the water level returns to normal which could be some time judging by the recent lack of rain !

The glow was fishing well today, early morning boobies were working for me . Not that much in the way of hatches. Was also catching on emergers and getting plenty of interest to them, I would imagine buzzers would've worked good as well. There is some really dodgy bits when wading though so watch what your doing. Helped the guy next to me net a monster he was bait fishing though.
