Ive just came across these lures can any one tell me what they are made from

the origonal was made from dave downies green glow fritz and spring water blue marabou i believe arthur wilkie invented the fly

I have only heard the term once and I was shown a variant on a Dawson's Olive lure. Basically the lure has a fritz body of olive fritz dyed orange, a large red plastic bead head,and a tail of two colours of marabou,olive and orange layered. The angler told me they were tied specially for him and sent down from Scotland

black knight im in scotland and only came across them twice unusually it seems to be a big secret and hard to get your hands on them if i can get the stuff to tie them i will .When ive seen them used they are killers

there not a big secret.the original used big reels f.u fritz.now dave downies green glow fritz is the preferred material.

dressing
yellow brass bead or orange works well too
body of green glow fritz
tail is springwater blue marabou.pink works well also

No secret at all, Dave downie has been selling them on his website, since last year (or before) as F-Up flies as have Caithnessquality flies F*** Up, and ebay, don't know why you consider them a killer lure, get a rainbow curious and it'll stop almost any tadpole type lure at some point, the f-ups seem to incorporate colour blended fritz
