I ordered a spare spool and lanyard from Orvis last week as they offered me a tenner off if I spent £50.00 online, the spool arrived two days later but the lanyard package turned out to contain a selection of Grayling Flies. I phoned up, received profuse apologies and was told to keep the flies as a gesture of goodwill. The lanyard arrived three days later So that's a 20% discount and ten quid's worth of flies for a packing error: wonder who I'm going to be buying from again? If only everyone I shopped with had such high standards of customer care

Your thread just reminded me about a post I was going to make.

Anyway, the laces on my Orvis ultralight wading boots broke a while ago and I phoned Orvis to ask where I could buy replacements. Two days later I had a pair of laces in the post, free of charge. Top quality service from Orvis, again!
