Tony,
many thanks for that. Montana looks awesome. I planned to go this year, but change of job, work and other stuff kind of got in the way. However, I plan to go next year around early July time for a couiple of weeks. Your blog has re-wetted my appetite!

Thanks, Daran...your optimistic response made my post worthwhile!

I hope you get to Montana....I promise you will not be disappointed...the Beaverhead, in the first ten miles or so, below the dam of the Clark Canyon Reservoir has astonishing fish in it.

My blog reveals that the North East has still to be netted!
I have found that the Tyne Passport will enable access to the Derwent in Tyne & Wear, the Rede in Northumberland, and Trout & Salmon (November) had a piece about the Derwent in Co Durham, so hopefully! Any thoughts and ideas, though, would be welcome. I plan to try, in May...Best wishes.

Tony,
the North-East has some great fishing. I've fished on some of the Tyne and Passport waters, but there are probably others on here better qualified than I to advise you. Some of the Rede is only available outside of prime Salmon/Sea-Trout time. I can help get you on some good water (through my club) in the Tees that holds some nice Grayling and Trout, or there is spectacular day-ticket fishing for wild trout on the upper reaches of the Tees.......late May would be ideal.
