Default waterproof breathables

I am in the market for a set of mid range breathables at the moment it looks like :

Grays GRXi

Airflow Hydrotec

Scierra Aquatex Pro

At the moment the Scierra looks to be the best of the bunch subject to fit, any reccomendations?

Not strictly fly fishing gear but have a lok at the Daiwa tourney gortex bib and brace.Made by Halkon Hunt the top name in Gortex and worn by the top mmatch anglers who fish througout the winter in all weathers.

Totally 100% waterproof but not cheap

Got some bright yellow Gore Tex sailing kit that would certainly keep me warm and dry but not quite appropriate methinks and if anybody thinks fishing gear is expensive they should go into a chandlers

Hi

My personal advice would be to get none of these as they are massively over priced. I fish in what ever the weather throws at me and I have tried to find a good brand of fishing waterproofs, and I failed.

I now use some farmer water proofs bought from my local army and outdoor shop. They are not technically breathable but they are the only way to keep dry!. If you want breathable then look for ones that feel more plastic like or rubber like if I wanted a better word, as you will keep much dryer.

The best place to look is in your local outdoors shop, they will have the best selection.

Hope this helps

James
