Default The perfect stillwater.

One day, i will retire and buy a stillwater which i shall run out of love. I will not aim to make millions, but i hope not to make a loss. Eveerone i know in the business says not to do it, but i just want to. i think with my enthusiasm,. knowledge and willingness to chat to customers etc it should be a friendly place, but my sticking point is that i know what I want in a fishery, but not what others want.? for me the priorities are
a) clear water
b) brown trout
c) average stock size 2lb with a fair proportion of 8-10lb fish and a few monsters
d) challenging fishing. overhanging trees, deep holes, uncut weed etc but cut banks and decent back casting
e) friendly staff, NEVER a miserable face.
f) a good fry up offered in the morning.

But what would you want if you visited my place?

Cheers
Alex

I'm sure you'd appeal to a market but ... what's going to be your particular selling point? There a lots of fisheries similar to what you describe, how's yours going to be different?

Value for money and a good selection of ticket options.
Oh and not to much uncut weed as its a pain if your not dry fly fishing.

Totally weed free mate, cannot stand the stuff... and nice clear room for backcast on every peg.

I would like a rule enforced that people are not to give a running comentary while they fish, nothing worse than going fishing and hearing some pap shouting or talking loud about how he just had another bite or that he just lost one!
Etiquette or how ever it is spelt is lacking at a lot of venues these days and to many idiots shouting and being loud, just so they can be noticed!
