Hi all, I'm planning on going fishing in South Wales next year, for a couple of days with a fellow flyfisher.

I'm aware of the Wye and Usk Passport and the various locations, but I only have 2/3 days available and want to ensure we get some good river sport and therefore want to "hit the ground...catching".

We'll be staying overnight, so any ideas on reasonable accomodation would also be appreciated.

If you fancy some fantastic stillwater action if the rivers are running low then I'm a season holder at Garnffrwd Trout Fishery near Llanelli which contains some seriously large double figure browns and rainbows as well as having self catering cottages and lodges to stay in. Maybe you should also check out the Stay&Fish website which has a map of many good places to stay in near fishing in Wales.
