Default straid fishery,northern Ireland

Guys,
Going up on sunday to straid for the first time.Anyone recommend some good patterns to try.

From their website, dated 07.11.11:

"Small lures on intermediate and sinking lines seem to be taking the most of the fish at the minute with black and green doing the trick. Small cormorants are taking fish as well."

how is it now with the weed when i was up during the summer the weed was bad

Its starting to clear away,you should give it another go everywhere had weed in the summer.

theres a comp sunday horse all boats are out but iam sure the bank will be ok just buzz them to check just in case save the journey.
