Default How much tackle do you carry to the bank?

Hi all,
I started a similar thread a number of years ago regarding the amount of tackle we take to the bankside for a days fishing. Back then, I had quite a bit in my Simms vest but over the past few years I have limited what I carry to an absolute minimum (fly box, leader, forceps, nips, floatant and mud).

This evening, while browsing the December issue of Total Flyfisher, I noticed that Steve Cullen was carrying an extraordinary amount of tackle to the river. Here are a few screenshots from his grayling article:

(Photo's screen captured on my phone while browsing the magazine with the app. If these should not be posted here, I will happily remove them.)

He has 3 rods, a fully loaded fishpond pack (back and front pockets) a bag around his neck, along with his essentials like clothes and waders.

I'd be a hypocrite to say anything negative as I used to carry everything from torches to test tubes, but this is the most I've seen anyone carry.

How much do you carry to the riverbank?

Brennan

Yeah, I was fishing with Steve on a stillwater recently and I cannot believe how he gets away with so little !

I carry all of that, plus a Shakespeare tackle box with a dozen lines and two big fly boxes in it and a Greys wet bag with all my clothing and food for a day out

I guess I am not river fishing, though...............

Fly vest full of gear. Back pack for clothing, spare reels, brews and food and camera which I can fit the only spare pocket of the vest.

Game bag full of fly boxes, lines, reels, camera, bits and bobs, oh and lunch. If I'm on the river which is not often, then a fully packed fly vest..
