Hi all,
I started a similar thread a number of years ago regarding the amount of tackle we take to the bankside for a days fishing. Back then, I had quite a bit in my Simms vest but over the past few years I have limited what I carry to an absolute minimum (fly box, leader, forceps, nips, floatant and mud).
This evening, while browsing the December issue of Total Flyfisher, I noticed that Steve Cullen was carrying an extraordinary amount of tackle to the river. Here are a few screenshots from his grayling article:
(Photo's screen captured on my phone while browsing the magazine with the app. If these should not be posted here, I will happily remove them.)
He has 3 rods, a fully loaded fishpond pack (back and front pockets) a bag around his neck, along with his essentials like clothes and waders.
I'd be a hypocrite to say anything negative as I used to carry everything from torches to test tubes, but this is the most I've seen anyone carry.
How much do you carry to the riverbank?
