Ghyll Head's a good fishery and very attractive.

There's Farleton View, check it's open. Never fished it but should be pretty clear banks for a beginner casting.

Drop Novice a pm. He fishes round that way.

Hi there there is Farleton view very near Kendal, Ghyl Head and High Newton which are day ticket waters run by WADAA. Whychelm near Milnthorpe to name but a few. Have a look here. Welcome and Here http://www.lakedistrictfishing.net/home/welcome.html

Just seen Bills post and he's right Farleton view is probably the most casting friendly. They are open Thursday to Sunday at the moment.

Could be a little breezy on Sunday - in which case, High Newton is not necessarily the best place for a beginner (Beautiful spot though)
