Default Are Simms worth the extra v Bisons?

Looking to get my first pair of waders, iwas looking to get a pair of breathable Bisons which are £100 but I am in the US at the moment and I can get some
Simms freestones inc wading boots for £200 are they worth the extra ?
I know they have a lifetime warranty but I guess you are more likely to get a hole from barbed wire ect which isn't covered.

From owning £400 Simms and £50 Airflos...they all leak eventually.

I have a pair of Simms G3 waist waders with zip and they are superb.

oh yes!
£200 for the full kit is a steal.
They are better quality, fit better, resist abrasion damage better, and look better, but barbed wire and thorns?, doesnt then matter how much they cost!

I'd go with the Simms, I've had a pair of the G3 guide for 5 years now, there just starting to leak a little around the top of the socking foot, other wise they've been excellent. I've treated myself and just ordered a pair of the G4 Guide waders from the States. My mate has just brought a pair of the Freestone waders, having used the Bisons before, he said there is no comparision, the Simms are much better.

Ive had a set of Simms L2s for years and they havent leaked.I always hang them up to dry after every use and have never left them stuffed into a bag in the boot of the car.Maybe worth getting opinions from the guides/instructors who use the forum as their waders will have seen a helluva lot more use than most.I must also add that I fish a variety of venues and not all of them require the use of waders. No experience with Bison waders but would definately buy Simms again.
Steve.

I've used a pair of G3's for the past seven years. I've had them in Canada, New Zealand, saltwater and through rivers and lakes. They are worth every penny. Had a small leak in the seat area and fixed it with aquasure. Bought a pair of G4's last year and they will stay in the wardrobe this season hopefully.

Well worth the money but as stated previously none of them will withstand thorns and barbed wire.

Looks like Simms are the winners then, after the wife's shopping trips I will have to buy another case to bring them home thought.

After my recent post for advice I have now spent a bit of time trying them on and the Simms G3 are looking very tempting with fit being excellent but at a price didn't dare try the G4s but also the Guidline Alta V2s were very good and at virtually £150 cheaper are likely to be my choice but as I am a bit barrel chested and short ar*ed to boot may have to get the leg shortened. Didn't like the Hardy EWS or the Greys GRxi they seemed very baggy somehow Now for the boots
