hi all ..been flyfishing for over a yr now and got the bug big time..sold all my carp gear,,been fishing day ticket waters and am now considering joining a club/syndicate.i liveon hants/surrey/w sussex border so am quite central.been offered a rodon test but itsquitealot of money and i havent venturedonto ariver yet any ideas suggestions thank you graham

Why not have a day Grayling fishing on the Test first to see if you enjoy it These can be picked up quite cheaply, - I believe that there are grayling days organised by forum members on here which might be of interest.
Also remember that typical rods on rivers like the Test involve you fishing one named day a week- you normally do not get access whenever you feel like a trip although you can often swap days with other syndicate members.
Having said that, if the economics work out this could be a great opportunity for you. Maybe someone who lives closer could advise you on the specific beats you would have access to.
All I would say is do your homework before deciding.
