Default What is your most useful kit purchase.

Mine is a pair of clip on your cap magnifying glasses. I only discovered these
last season, what a difference they make,I was struggling to tie a fly on even
when wearing my reading glasses. They may have been around for years, but
new to me.

Sounds interesting gazza - got a link?

I get fed up of scrabbling around to find my readers, only to find that I/ve smeared them with gink and can't see through them

Thanks, Bruce. Looks interesting and worth a punt. Wouldn't there be a problem adjusting the distance between your eyes and the lenses?

Or cut down the brim of the hat. Don't suppose they'll work with my woolly bobble hat with the reindeer running round it
Thanks

Wrap around sun glasses.

Only bought them after hitting myself in the cheek with a fly.

After going for half of the season with sore shoulders, not through casting but trying to tie on a size 18 with my reading glasses
in the poor light in the woods, the further i stretched my arms to focus the smaller the fly was getting, very strange that.
So going up town one day i had a brain wave, went to the pound shop and tried on different strength glasses
untill i had sharp focus at 9inches,they turned out to be 3 rather the 1.5 i was using,so no more having
to leave the little brownies as they were starting to rise, and cursing all the way home.So watch
out little fishy's next season i'v got all the gear now,HA.
