Default Southern Softies Stalking..?

Hi All, does anyone fancy a Southern FFF get together at some time during the winter at Lechlade?

Hopefully when the weather cools the fish'll come on and there'll be some big, hard fighting rainbows and browns to be had. Last winter was awesome with the big brownies with many doubles being caught (and 2 twenty pounders that i know of that are still in there!)

So, just for now, let me know if you're up for it, and then we can look at dates. would a weekend or a weekday be better?

Cheers
Alex

Clicked on this thinking you were planning a trip after deer...

me me me!

But not for a few weeks because I'm doing a fair amount of travel for work at the mo. I can do either weekday or week-end, so long as I get some notice.

Cheers.

I'd be up for this.
Have a few gaps in the diary between now and Christmas and just had the Lechlade newsletter saying the place is 'on'.

Cheers

You know me Alex, will always be up for it, but away until beginning of December. After that weekday or weekend although prefer the quietness of a weekday.

So far on the GFS and ECM weather models I am seeing little in the way of sustained cold up until 15 days from now, but last year it changed so suddenly in the last week of November so you never know.

Speaking to a guy at Dever last weekend he said Lechlade was still very difficult so afraid I think the newsletter may be a touch of propaganda at the moment, but here's hoping!!

Definitely interested in a midweek day but the place definitely needs a prolonged spell of cold weather before you plan this trip. Both Lechlade and Bushy are off-colour at the moment.

I'd be interested and probably either mid week or weekend. Let me know.

Thanks.

OK seems to be a few of us then. I think a weekday may be a better option, and from what i've heard we should give it a little longer to get into winter mode. I'd suggest perhaps 1st week in December. there should be a few browns going in by then too. what about the 1st December?

potentials so far are
