Default Another 'thumbs up' to Grommet; a GREAT DVD.

With my last bag of 'goddies' Ian included a copy of the DVD by "River Academy" called "The Complete Mayfly." Fish On Productions.

As I suspected the 'European Format' would not play on my DVD players, contacted Ian and he suggested slipping the disk(s) (there are two of them) into the lap top.

Took Windows 7 a few seconds then A-HA!

Disks take you through a full life cycle of May Flies, how a river was 'rebuilt' after a major pollution spill wiped out everything. **

Narration is a delight, the pools these guys were fishing were enough to make you drool (reminded me of SE Oregon and the Williamson River), etc., and etc.

Well worth the watch!

Fred

** Cringed when River Keeper described how the river had its 'clocked clean,' but very similar occurrence here on the upper Sacramento River. Only difference was 'ours' was a train derailment that dumped thousands of gallons of weed killer into the river. NOTHING survived ..... save for the small tribs. Took a few years but the bug life there eventually repopulated the main river as did the resident trout.

Mom Nature does a good job of cleaning up our screw-ups.
