Dear Angler
I am writing on behalf of the Environment Agency about an email we sent you earlier today. This was an email was sent to salmon and migratory trout rod licence holders informing them of a new and easy way to complete their annual rod catch return online.
Unfortunately your email address was inserted into the ‘To’ field by accident instead of the ‘Bcc’ or blind copy field. Please accept my sincere apologies for this error. The Environment Agency treats the security of your personal data very seriously and I will take steps to ensure this does not happen in future.
I have asked the email to be recalled, but you may still have a copy in your inbox. Please can I ask that you delete the email from your inbox and not use any of the addresses for other purposes. I have asked all recipients of the email to take the same steps.
A new email will be sent with recipient email details withheld which you can use to complete your rod catch return for the 2011 season
Once again I would like to apologise for this error. If you have any concerns please email me at
salmon_licensing@environment-agency.gov.uk.
Regards
Andy Sadler
