Just been to Scout Dyke today and only caught one rainbow, about 1˝lb. One of my mates caught two and the other blanked.
The water level is really low and, although it's recently been heavily stocked, my mates, members and regular anglers, have been struggling to catch over the past couple of weeks. I think the oxygen levels must be very low, making the trout lethargic and disinclined to feed.
The mud around the waters edge is also quite soft and dangerous in places because the water is dropping so quickly.
My advice would be
not to bother - I certainly wish I hadn't gone today.
