Default Looking for a club

Hi all,

Next year I would like to expand my horizons. The last 2 years I have fished locally due to PTSD and am now getting enough confidence to want to fish other locations.

So, I am looking to preferrably to join a fairly small club. River for trout and salmon predominantly although I have never fished proper Lochs and would love to try fishing from a boat.

If anyone is a member of or knows of small clubs like this in or near East Ayrshire I would be very grateful of any details.

Cheers,
Tam

You are welcome to have a day or two next season on my club loch. Fishfinger and Edd 7 knows it well. Good boat fishing for broonies and some rainbows.

Failford stretch run by the Tarbolton and Failford club. Ask at the Failford Inn for contact details as they do day tickets.

What about the Cumnock angling club? It has fishing rights for the Lugar and also runs Borland fishery. Details at the Borland.

They will also give you contact details for Muirkirk.

Yeah it's still going ahead, just so much red tape to get through but the plans are moving on a bit now.

Not a huge Loch/stillwater fan but I do live in Cronberry so Lugar water would be perfect. Any contact details?

Thanks for the info guys, got a good starting point now.

Good luck Tam,

Really hope you find the kind of club you are after... I am a very nearly (8working days to do) ex-RAF Copper and had very very slight PTSD after returning from Iraq... absolutely back on track now... there is light at the end of the tunnel... you just have to walk through the tunnel to get there... glad you are getting through it... will see you at alderneuk next Saturday and we will have a good old bit of banter (you'll call me names for being a cop... i'll have one of my many witty retorts to throw back at you!)

Take care

Stevie
