Default Hi - just returned to fishing

Have returned to fishing after about a ten year break (and about 15 years since I last went flyfishing!)
Can anyone recommend any trout waters within a reasonable distance of Dudley, West Midlands, that are open and worth fishing during the winter?

Welcome to the forum. I don't know the area either, but I fished Seighford Lakes outside Stafford several times last winter and enjoyed myself. Two small trout pools and one coarse pool. It seemed quite popular and there were certainly some largish fish in there.
