Any of the Olympus Tough cameras.
Olympus - µ TOUGH-8000#
My older version, the μ 790 SW is obsolete now but the replacements are even better. Most of the pictures on my blog have been made with it and several of my published photographs have been made with it too. It is waterproof, very shock proof and has the advantage of Olympus colour rendition, which is noted for being the best there is especially when compared with Canon and Nikon, if you prefer to be as near to reality as you can be.

It fits in a shirt pocket so is ready for use almost immediately.
