Default New kid after some autumn / winter advice

Started fly fishing back in April and have enjoyed mainly some great dry fly sport. Now that the colder days are drawing in, what flies or lures should I be looking to top my box up with. I'm mainly fishing on small to medium sized still waters. Thanks for your time & advice...

North West mate, I live in Salford but try and get out to anywhere within easy reach of a train station & cheap taxi ride or moderate bike ride (I don't drive). I go to Curley's quite a bit as this suits me travel wise. I'm going to Barnsfold this weekend for the first time with my brother but hope to try a few more out in the Lancs area in the near future. thanks...

A group of us went to Barnsfold on Sunday. My grandson fished with a floating line, a 14' 00" leader, and a green and black fritz gold head. He had 31 fish in 6 hours.

I'm understandably biased towards weighted lures.

what methods were you using BK and how did you do, & the rest of your group for that matter. Being new, I've still got lots to learn & pick up so any advice no matter how small is welcome, thanks
