I am looking to get some Bison waders and you get a choice of wading boots,
either a Bear claw (which looks like they may be neoprene) with studded sole or a standard looking boot with felt sole.
Anybody have any experience of either of these boots?

I tried Bisons std wading boots and even though they were 2 sizes up on my shoe size, found them to be too narrow and took them back.

They might be made in China and they have small narrow feet

I have had experience with both David, the felt sole ones were good VFM, still going strong, the Bearclaw, although they looked good, were rubbish IMO.
Within two weeks the studs were coming off and pushing in, and there is nowhere to fasten your gaiters to on the boot as they have no laces.

I have some of the felt sole Bison wading boots and so far, only got them this year, they have been really good. Mine are one size bigger than my shoe size.

Get at least one size above David, you can always wear a neoprene sock as I do, not only does it keep your feet warm, but protects your wader booties from gravel etc.

I too have the felt soled boots and no problems at all, im a size 9 and got the boots in an 11 and they fit perfectly.
