Default How did your year go????
Hi all,
I have just finished totaling up my fishing log for the year and this is my final draft
97 rainbows (biggest 4/5lb ish from swanswater)
16 brown trout biggest at 3.5lb
10 salmon (biggest at 15 3/4 from the spey)
5 sea trout at 3.5lb (also from the spey)
Total 128 not a bad year and how does it compear to all the experts on here

I'm almost too embarrassed to answer. My local 7½ acre trout fishery has only been stocked with around 300 fish - this year - the last time in early May. As you can imagine, the fishing's been difficult - I won't be rejoining.

Haven't kept a detailed record, but I know that this has been my most sucessful season to date......

No game fish, I don't target them.

A raft of carp, 1 perch, dissapointed no chub or pike came my way.

Upto now, 310 Brownie's, 4 Rainbows and 100 Grayling and the Grayling season's only just begun, lots more to come hopefully.

38 Grayling so far
7 Sea Trout
1 Salmon

All on the fly

Tough season here in the southwest with very low water all year.

A season of two halves for me - 1st half outstanding, 2nd half challenging.

Not the best on record for me, plenty of big fish this year, but a general lack of normal sized river trout IMO.

Worst ever!!

Slipped a disc in my back on 27th March and haven't fished since then. Had an operation to sort it out three weeks ago so roll on the middle of November.
