When it's farmed! All British salmon aquaculture is in Scotland. Scottish organic salmon; another to beware of.

In the context of your questions there is no such thing as a Scottish Salmon. It's a marketing label.

If we have specific Tay fish, specific Dee fish, specific Tweed and Spey fish...........??

In the case of the Aberdeenshire fish, the locals quite clearly state that the shape and characteristics of Dee fish are different to those of it's neighbouring Don fish.

So, it isn't too far a stretch of the imagination to suggest that fish born in a Scottish river and returning to that same river, are Scottish?

I think scottish salmon are farmed fish, which are raised in pens in the lochs of scotland..............
To the detriment of the wild atlantic salmon which pass through the lochs to spawn in the rivers and streams.
