Default bread fly!?

I was out fishing at the weekend and i spotted a fish struggling in some reeds so i netted him.
He was a bit limp so i looked in his mouth and stuck down his throat was a massive bread fly,the one used for carp.Anyway i removed it and released the fish it took a bit of doing but he seemed to go away fairly strong.
Surely these things wouldnt be allowed?it dosnt say so in the rules and ive never seen it in the rules anywhere else, seen plenty of places that dont allow boobies.

There is a fly called a "Bread Crust", but that is tied quite sparsely-not like one used for carp

Was the fly being used you think deliberately for trout or did it take it as meant for a carp?

why wouldn't the fly be allowed?? the damage wasn't caused by the fly, but by the way it was fished. you can get the same problem using any number of flies.
