Default whats the worm in the sea bass

i caught a couple of sea bass today and i brought one home for the table and while i was eating him i foung a pink worm curled up in his flesh
can anyone tell me what this is? please

Is likely to be parasitic worm called cod worm, which can survive light cooking!

If you have eaten cod and chips you could well of eaten one already.
More worrying is you calling the fish a sea bass! Its just a bass to us fisherman mate.

You often see them dead in cod from the fish and chip shop.

Not according to B.A.S.S. (Bass Anglers Sportfishing Society). It's often abbreviated to just Bass, but the OP was quite correct in calling it a Sea Bass (though its full title is European Sea Bass, Dicentrarchus labrax)

in fact if your chip shop cod hasn't got a worm or two in it it's probably Far Eastern River Cobbler raised on Soya byproducts and fresh excrement of one type or another.

Salt and Vinegar on that sir ?
