Arrow shrink tubbing

got a fly line of a forum member it had a furled leader (one of mrtrouts the best) atached to a braided loop and cased in shrink tubbing brill .My question is what size tubbing do i need to buy and from who ps the tubbing was red

This may give you an idea to size, Iv not used it for lines but I think this is what they use.

like this site cos it gives you before and after shrink dimensions!

I have been eying up the adhesive lined stuff from farnell/RS. Not that pricey when you see what a little pack costs in the tackle shop.

That link above also looks very good value.

Tackle shops that sell carp gear stock a range of shrink tubing for carp rigs.

I use a similar method, but using the silicon sleeving that comes with braided loops. That way i can just ease the tubing back up the fly line loop, and change the looped leader when i need to. Both methods cut out the wake caused by a loop to loop connection. If i use a braided loop, i always whip it on with tying thread and coat with a good flexible cement.

There was a video of how to use this tubbing and how to form a loop in your fly line!

Someone posted it on the forum awhile back. Did a search but failed to find it.

I do the same as the vid, but substitute the flame for hair straighteners, less chance of scorching I found.
