Default Need advise, Sonik SK4 breathable waders

Hi

I'm going to buy the first pair of breathable waders. Has anyone tried the Sonik SK4 waders? How are they compared to Snowbee or Greys ones?

Thank you in advanced
Mohsen

Everything else I've had from Sonik has been excellent, but no experience of the waders, I'm afraid.

Well, this is at least good news. I read they provide some excellent service to costumers as well. But still waiting to see if anyone has tried the waders.
Thanks
Mohsen

Hi, I don't have tr sk4 but a friend of mine does nd he thinks they are great, I have the neoprenes nd they are brilliant! Comfortable nd rely warm, can't fault them at all, my next pair of breathables will be sk4's, especially with the special offer they have with the boots

I have had a few pairs of soniks into the workshop, and they are nice waders. They are clearly made in the same factory as some of the better known brands, but use the better sock and seam designs so we liek them. Ok, they suffer exactly the same problems in time as the others, but are good value (and i say this without knowing the price, but knowing the construction is good)

Like all the better brands, they need to fit properly or you will strain the seams - you are stronger than the material and certainly stronger than the seams! However they seal very well and once done this removes one of the most common leakage areas.

I hear that they are also good at customer care and this makes a big difference. Some companies are really good and others are terrible, not just talking waders here. I work with a couple of companies and am really impressed with their can do/help attitude.

Sonik are not a brand that is well known up here, i see other brands much more commonly on the river bank, but they are centainly not a problem brand in my opinion an dexperience on testing and repairing.

If you are looking for an alternative, try the Greys G-Series. Seem to strike a good balance between breathability and durability. I've brushed past a few thorny bushes and had the fly caught on my leg a few times and they haven't leaked so far. I have the Sonik Sk3 boots and they have been fine, although I still had to screw in wader studs into the rubber sole after taking a tumble on the bank side a couple of times.

Hi
Thank you everybody for the informative comments. I wrote to Angler's Lodge asking about the waders, and the lady named Sandra Hayman advised me to buy the waders from a local shop. Very nice people and they do care about the costumer. I guess I'll try it.

Regards
Mohsen
