Default lincon/digby

Im on a course down in lincon/digby/coningsby. Anyone know of good places to fish for rainbow trout. Also need advice on rod license as i will only be using it a few times can i get daily tickets?

toftnewton , 40 mins, re licence well you still need one , post office is the place or apply online, environment agency

from memory and that dates back to the 60s is not exactly trout central ,however should you be willing to drive a fair distance rutland is not over far and Toft Newton maybe a goer (not somewhere I have ever fished )
Re the licence ,you can buy online one day and weekly ones get the cheaper one as that covers all non migratory fish and eels !
btw was a schoolboy there many moons ago when father was based at Scampton with the V bombers,was a fun town then ,highlight of my stay seeing the Beatles at the Odeon !
