Hi All,
Bit of a newbie to the game, coarse fished for years but got rid of all my gear (and an ex wife but that's another story) and just got into fly fishing.
Been fishing a few small still waters around Stafford and Lichfield area (Staffs).Looking for a club local to me or somebody that doesn't mind going out with a newbie for a day or two.

If it's river fly fishing you want to get into, I don't mind guesting you somewhere. It will be grayling fishing for a few months 'til the trout season re-opens. If it's stillwaters your looking for though, whilst I've got access to them, I'm not your man.

No problem Neil, happy to help but only if it's on rivers. I've got a free rod on Blithfield and it's just down the road, but I've never fished it. The only stillwaters I fish these days are Scottish lochs and Willington a couple of times a year.

There is a brilliant fishery near Stafford called Seighford Lakes (Seighford Lakes: Home) check it out Phil is the guy that runs the place and is very friendly, He'll point you in the right direction
