Thumbs down Pennine trout fishery

On my last few visits to pennine i have noticed the stocking size has changed. When i questioned them they said these are the fish that just stop growing. The fish were less than 2lb not only on these visits. With the tariffs they charge you wouldnt think the recession had hit them, but it looks like it has. The days when you would catch fish regulary of 4lb have gone. Think i will leave it to the egg and blob fishers. Poor display Pennine

Nothing new there then cds. Put a few big fish in short term, then thats it.
You're better off at Barnsfold.

Not fished it for over a year but it was the usual arrogant c*cksuckers on there when I was last on. RIP Clegg Hall, that's all I can say.

Clegg hall was starting to get the Pennine guys who were sick of the attitude and the float fishers. Last time I was on Pennine, some bloke was casting right onto my fly.

I could not imagine wanting to fish a venue on a main road.

Many many years ago I fished Pennine when Jimmy Gilder had it. It had some spectacular coarse fish in it for a trout fishery.

Nowerdays the A59 is like a motorway.
