Default Buzzing for next season already

Can't wait for next season already. Im joining 2 clubs which gives me 4 still waters which i have never fished before and can't wait to get on them. Will be out every chance i get next year and all 4 waters are reasonably close to home so happy days. Also a little group of us planning a trip to fish Grafham,Draycote and where ever else in that area that takes our fancy.

Could anyone give me a tip on which of the anglian waters is best early season as we will be fishing 4 days at least. Fished Grafham before but have not fished any of the other anglian waters so any info will be much appreciated

Will be early May we are heading down

I would get fishing Grafham now, rather than looking forward to next season. I fish the bank right through to xmas, and think it's the best time of year. No stockies, just plenty of good conditioned fish that will come within feet of the bank in search of food. The water is actually warmer than early season too, if you do need to Wade.

Why have you stopped ? As well as carrying on reservoir fishing, you can fish many small stillwaters right through the winter. Indeed some think the winter fishing is the very best of the year. I can certainly vouch for the condition and fighting qualities of rainbows caught from Wessex smallwaters in midwinter.

No I've not stopped mate I will be fishing right through winter but the permits for the new waters won't kick in till March so think im just excited about the new challenge that lies ahead.

I've heard about fry bashing at Grafham at this time of year but just don't have the finances at the moment but hopefully get the chance to experience it at some point.
